This is a guide to "green" washing the dishes. It will give you some ideas to conserve time, energy, water and resources when you wash your dishes. These boards have two advantages: It will save you money, and they will reduce your impact on the environment.
Save money and resources by reducing your use of buffers
If you use pads Brillo steel wool or pads that rust out your scissors and cut each half into scrubber. This will allow you to get 2 uses Brillo of each block, reducing the amount of money you spend on tampons in half and reduce your impact on the environment at the same time. This is something that will work for almost everybody, because most people do not have enough food for both any use a scouring pad. However, if you wash a huge amount of dishes at once (for example, if you have a family of 8) you may skip this step. I recommend you try again to see if it works for you. If so, you just saved a little money in this stage, only - any amount of money your family is on pads in a year.
Choose Eco-Friendly Soap Dish
Be sure to use the brand of dish soap is also good for your skin. Avoid harsh detergents based chemicals. Know natural ingredients tend to be less dangerous to the environment, and are a better choice for your long-term health. I use Trader Joe's dish, which is coconut-based surfactants. It is very sweet, but it works well. There are many other brands of eco-friendly dish soaps to choose from. If you choose wisely your soap, you will be able to wash dishes without wearing disposable latex gloves. Anything "disposable" is hard on the environment, and should be avoided if possible.
